Projects to share and new hair

Lynne's birthday card uses cosmo cricket papers from one of TSV s over on qvc, fancy pants chipboard heart, autumn leaves swirl stamps and a Sarah Kay image coloured with walnut and antique linen distress inks and then covered with crackle glaze (wow this stuff really works!!)
Really enjoyed doing this card!
Re
Ok so heres the" hair" the still not quite sure about it but I do like the colours my hairdresser put in. (Sorry for the cheesy grin)

This is my matchbox advent box. Anyone wanting any matches let me know I now have a bag full lol! Sorry about the picture I think I must have had bad tremors today because all the ones I took were shaky!

I've used basic grey wassail papers and craftwork card paper flowers. I've used loads of stickles for the Christmas bling and added snowyjo and gingerbread man stamps from imaginisce on the sides. The numbers are Making Memories.

This is Lynnes birthday present its a recipe book holder that I got from the NEC last year. I've altered it by painting with acrylic paint and then covering it with paperloft well worn papers. I've cut out some images from some Tim Holtz papers and stamped a tilda which I then cut out with nestabilities. I've aged everything with walnut distress ink and then painted over it with decopatch so its wipe proof.

Bad best mate time!! So sorry Lynne Happy birthday hun xxxxx Will see you tomorrow xx
x
Made this card yesterday with some oddments I had left out my scrapagogo kit and new stamps from the NEC which I love they are clear stamps by inkadinkadoo. I think this one will be for Ollie.
Bought 24 match boxes today and have started making another advent calendar (sour cream containers done and ready to hang when me dads found me a twig! Paul says by the size of them I'll need a tree!!) Its looking good just need to finish decorating the side panels.
I've decided to do Shimelles xmas journal again this year. I really enjoyed doing it last year. I'm trying to make it easier for myself by having my journal pre decorated.... but why is it I keep
putting it off?? I have started it but its just the decorating bit that bothers me. Think I'll keep it simple for now and then add more as we get the prompts.
On a different note I'm glad they saved JLS tonight on x factor although I think Cheryl did some tactical voting as theres a lot of girls still in the comp.
Right I'm off to bed
night xx

Hello peeps!
Well.. a certain lady has made my day today. Thank you Kirsty for the lovely comment you left me. Gotta love that lady!
I've took the plunge and had all my hair cut off today!! Which is fine today not sure about tomorrow though when I've slept on it! Also purchased some tigi bed head to help me along. I might post a piccie tommorrow in better light and when I've had time to tweak it.
I did this card the other day. The scans not very good because of the bead trim which I found along with the ribbon in our local cake making shop.
Had a little play with my new snowflake cuttlebug die and was happy to find an ebossing one in the packet too!
stamp is a penny black not sure what its called as my friend gave me the image.
Going to look for more xmas presents with Paul while we watch hell boy on dvd.
Hugs Debbie x

Swap goodies

After being impatient yesterday , look what arrived in the post for me today!! The top photo shows a little rak of earrings from hostess with the mostess Rachelsian and bottom photo is a gorgeous bracelet from the October crafts beautiful jewelery swap also from Rachelsian. Thank you hunny xxx

Just a few..

Over at Basic Grey Challenges this week they asked you to make a card for the boys, so I took the oppotunity to make a christmas card for one of my sons using BG Wassail papers that I got from the NEC at the weekend. I coloured Luca with distress inks and added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.
This one is from last weeks ismaki sketch or there abouts anyway. I wanted to try it out all week but didn't get round to it and by the time I did my little hand drawn sketch in my book(I know I'm very sad!) was a bit more difficult to follow lol! But I like the results. The papers are from the November scrapagogo kit.

This one is for Sketch Saturday. Mum asked for a boy birthday card so this was a brill quickie make. Papers are BG Offbeat.

Yay!! Yellow box day!

Whoo hoo!!! Yellow box day today! I loved this kit when I first saw the sneak peeks and couldn't wait for it to arrive. In true scrapbookers style I took the kids out during the half term to capture some woodlandish type photos especially for the kit!!

We went out to Elvaston Park (with of course a quick sneak into Hobby horse crafts for mummy!) It was freezing .... but we managed a picnic and a wander round the grounds before Ollie was really cold. It really is a beautiful place to visit.
I was very impressed with the photos I took and absolutely love the photo of Ollie in the big stone circle.
Anyway these are the layouts I've managed to finish tonight and I don't feel too guilty about scrapping tonight as Paul is busy doing work things tonight lol!

Monday 10 November 2008

Well 2 of my 3 children are poorly sick and have been most of the weekend :( I hate it when your kids are poorly cos theres not a lot you can do for them. Luckily they are sleeping through most of it. Fingers crossed I don't get it...
I managed to squeeze some crafting time though this weekend and made my Christmas planner. People keep asking what the kids want so I thought I would start to be organized lol!I saw this idea on the inspirational blog in the tips and Techniques section.
I used a file folder lots of distress ink and KandCo peppermint twist papers. The stamp on the front is a Sarah Kay christmas stamp, the joy of giving.
Jamie seems better tonight so hes back at school tomorrow lol!

Thursday 6 November 2008

Its Thursday......already!!

Just a few things to share since I last came on. I did this tilda card from the sketch at
magnolia vs stampavie. As you may have noticed my colour theme for xmas this year is pink and green lol! I just love these sparkly pink prima flowers too!
This is a card for my grandmas birthday using BG 2 scoops. Its not for a while yet but I thought I'd start getting on top of things. Birthdays and xmas are catching up quick! ( Plus I think I might be back at work soon.....oh : (
THis card is for the Christmas theme over at the Basic Grey challenge blog. Its figgy pudding and I just love these papers from the range. Definately my faves.
I have spent the morning putting washing away and tidying up bedrooms..... time for a little crafting I think!!
Later x

Long post!

So this is Jamie's pumpkin. We saw one like this at a Halloween party we went to last week. When we carved them on Thursday this is what he wanted to do. We saved all the insides and put them on a tray to look like sick... sorry!
These were our wonderful cupcakes that we had great fun creating we have spiders ,aliens and snakes in the grass.
This is Laura's pumpkin. I cut the little pumpkins out and she cut the big hole. I think it looks great!

Onto todays card challenges. This one is for Sketch Saturday. A bit quick off the mark for me, but I loved the sketch. Papers are Kand Co peppermint twist, imaginisce gingerbread man stamp and a craftwork cards xmas flower.

This one is for This Thursday. I surfed my 5 blogs and stopped at Juliets. I loved her circle xmas tree so decided to make a similar one using hearts with my art from the heart stamps. I used a scallop die card and backed it with papermania papers and added the tree. I've doodled around all the borders and the scallop edges and added lots of stickles to the ends. The pink star is a prima one.

Thanks to all who have popped in for a look and left comments. Its lovely to know that people enjoy looking at my cards and projects!
