Have a drink on me :)

So this is what I've been making today. Its a wine bottle bag (there is wine in it too!) and card for my renal nurse tomorrow to thank her for all the hard work shes put in for me. Every so often I treat them at the hospital to lattes, cake and biscuits and tomorrow is no exception cos I've bought them a big thank you cake!!
Thanks to Zoe and the stamp with us classes in the summer it was easy to make.
This is the card to match. I've used basic black card and rose red design papers and I've raided my stash of felt fusion flowers (unheard of!!) I've also used some regal rose ribbon.

Heres a close up of the detail. The stamp is from the Simply said set.

Project Tuesday

This is a gift card for my mother-in-law, its her birthday today! Happy birthday mum!
I saw this idea on the Project Tuesday challenge blog and thought it was a fab idea. The mil loves daffodils and I saw a tutorial on Mainly Flowers for them. I had a go at those, but as I do't have the proper tools they didn't look quite right, so I tweaked them a bit.
(Just used 2 5 petal flower punchies and stuck them together.)

Here's the inside. (There wo't be a PC world gift card in it when I give it to her later, but its all I could find lol!) The verse is one I found when I googled can't remember the site, sorry.
I have used So saffron c/s and DSP and Always artichoke c/s.

Holiday Pics

So I've bored the family with my holiday pictures i thought i'd put some on here too!
Heres where we meet Mickey and Minnie in the town hall next to their houses. boy did we queue! Ollie loved meeting the characters and so did Laura not quite sure Jamie did, either that or he forgot how to smile for the camera!

We met up with my best friend and her family while we were there and this pic is of the boys after a bag of candy floss at Blizzard Beach. They had a great day playing together and spent ages in the wave pool which was just right for Ollie as he could touch the floor.
Meanwhile me Lynne and sarah were travelling down the lazy river when a snake dropped in to say hello!!! It wasn't poisonous though and the snake was put safely back into the bushes. Bit of a shock mind.

Ollie's favourite characters were Buzz and Woody and he was in awe when he met them! We spent most of this morning waiting to get on the Buzz ride and then after we came off Irealised I'd scarred my little boy for life.... I thought I would be able to have Ollie sitting on my knee for this ride but when we had got on they put a bar down to hold us all in and Ollie was sitting in the middle and couldn't reach the gun.... well competitive mum syndrome kicked in and i forgot ollie, had a wail of a time competing with competitive dad.... so when we got off Ollie cried "I don't like being in the middle!!" Shame faced we joined the queue to meet the characters... lol!!

And finally a picture of us all having a super yummy ice cream at Hollywood Studios. My favourite flavour was cookies and cream. Oreo cookies at morrisons here we come :0

Thanks for looking :) I need to go and prepare for my class tonight. i think I have 6 people coming!!!

Jet lagged!

Well we have just returned from Orlando yesterday and I feel zonked!! Will add some pictures later.
Anyway this is my class for next week. There are 3 projects and we are using sweet always papers and colour combos of regal rose, rose red, pumpkin pie and very vanilla.
The stamp set is pick a petal.

This is a shadow box card. I've stamped the petals onto very vanilla, cut out and mounted inside on 3D foam.

This is a slider card. I had fun distressing my petals and mounting the centre for a 3D effect at the corner. The petals are repeated in the corner of the insert. I have used the stamp-a-ma-jig to do the 2 step stamping on the petals.

And to finish a little origami gift box filled with 4 ferrero rocher chocolates.

Sneak peek and a pretty petal

Here's the peek for my next class to be held on Wednesday 19th August. We will be using the pick a petal stamp set and sweet always design papers. Will post pictures nearer the time :)
This was my little project this afternoon. Another one of Lauren Meader's new templates, pretty petal pocket. Its really easy and quick to put together and so sweet... I love it :)

I have used my favourite colours chocolate chip and rose red cardstock and design papers and the pick a petal stamps to make the flower on the front. The little tag on the front is a sentiment from the one of a kind stamp set.
Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Cherry licious

I managed to make time to have a little play with Lauren's new template last night. It's the milkmade one and I've made it so the tops lift off. I haven't taken a pic of that yet as I can't find anything small enough in the house to fit them. They are rather cute and petite :)

I used real red and old olive cardstock and the lovely summer picnic design papers. The stamp is from the tart and tangy set.
Apologies for the photo background but it was better light outside rather than in!!!
I will be posting pics for the next class at some point over the next few days I may post a sneak peek later :) x

Thank you gift and a card

I loved Jenny's shadow box card in this months craft stamper magazine so I had a go at making my own. I used the A rose is rose stamp set and decorated the large rose in the middle with stampin' glitter. I think this will go with the hand bag I made for Laura's teacher as the thank you card.

I love this template from Lauren Meader, (desk top organiser) I think it is definately my favourite. This set of thank you notelets uses the so saffron design papers and card stock. I think it looks so pretty.

These are the notelets which is very vanilla cardstock cut to 4.25"x 5.5" and stamped with the apple from tart and tangy and thank you from wonderful words.
I used stampin' up envelopes, but as they are too big I cut .5" off the side edge (after sticking the flap down) and then used a 2" piece of DSP punched 1 long edge with the scallop edge punch, scored at1" and adhered to the cut edge to make a new flap.

Well getting really fed up!
My computer is broke and not mended yet and I'm only allowed limited time on Paul's ..... and its the holidays!!
Ollie decided that my computer needed to get drunk and knocked a whole glass of wine over the top of it! NB you know what they say about backing your stuff up..... yeah? .... well do it I've lost loads :( I'm hoping that someone can retrieve it for me.
Can't post any pics of my makes and I have been busy making bunnie boxes for Easter and a lovely card holder from a tutorial by Joanne Gelnar over on the In love with stamping website.
I'm working on a little project for someones birthday too!
Anyway got to go be back soon

Busy busy!

New hair again! Had it coloured its quite a chocolate brown with some blonde chunks. I'm trying to grow it again. Really pleased with the colour.
I had a really productive night last night and finished up a few projects I have had on the go. This one is a "file it with flair "template by Lauren Meader. I love her templates and look forward to their release on the papertrey site.
I have used some of my Stampin' Up stuff to make them and finally my scallop circle punch arrived and so far I've used it on everything lol!
Card stock is chocolate chip, almost amethyst, old olive and not quite navy. DP is spiced cider and the stamp is from the seeing circles set.
Then I finished my mothers day stuff. There are 2 cards using certainly celery and pretty in pink.
The cd box is another template from Lauren Meader "music makerover". I used the botanicals stamp set from the SAB catty.
Then in front is a box from a tutorial by Becky Roberts. There are various bits and pieces inside - a post it note holder, decorated Elizabeth Shaw mints and some in an acetate box and also a lindt heart in a little gift bag. I used bazzil card and papers from this months scrapagogo kit.

Some stampin' up!

I made these tags for my sister as she hosted my first Stampin' up! workshop. I used stamps from the Simply said range and the sentiments are Sincerely yours. Cardstock is chocolate chip and ruby red from the earth elements colour family.
On Saturday we (me, Lynne and Heather) attended Helen and Alisons Stampin' up! class. (Thank you ladies :) x ) We had a lovely afternoon and made 4 fab makes. One of them was a gorgeous joy fold card by Alison and this is my version using different papers and stamps which is a wedding card for my cousin.
I used Simply said, Pocket silhouette, and "congratulations" from the Fun and fast notes stamp sets. Cardstock is certainly celery and pretty in pink from the soft subtles colour family and design paper is from the Tea and crumpets range.

Obssesseion lol!

Ok so most of my family (definately my sister) would tell you I have an unhealthy obsession with "The twilight saga". I ve finished all 4 books, watched the film, and downloaded the album so whilst searching for more info I came across this forum and laughed my socks off!!! I thought it was just me but apparently there are other people like me called "Twilight moms" ha ha!
See so it is normal!!

Don't forget to pop on over to the jewellery challenge blog for this weeks challenge!

Jewellery challenge #4

Well its time for jewellery challenge #4 over on the jewellery challenge blog and the guest designer this time is... me!!!
I was honored when Sarah asked me to join in so thank you very much!
The challenge I set was to produce something which used handmade beads (or natural ones like wood or lamp work etc)
I chose to use fimo and made several items. This pendant is made by mixing black and white fimo together, rolling out and impressing a stamp into it to produce the image in the fimo. The rounded beads use the fimo I cut from around the pendant.

I added purple glass beads to molded fimo beads to create this bag charm.

And for this one (which my daughter has her eye on!) I molded round black and white beads from fimo and them made tiny round beads to add to the sides to make them look like lamp worked beads. I then strung them together on stretchy nylon to make a bracelet.
I found a cool site here for making pod beads.
Also if you google you can find loads of tutorials on making fimo and paper beads, some of them are stunning!
Thanks Sarah for asking me to set this challenge.

I'm sad : (

One of my colleagues at work has left today for a new job and teacher training. Going to really miss her but I'm sure that she will make a fab and super teacher so all the best to her!
Made this "take along tote" (template by Lauren Meader available through papertrey ink) for her using my new pink cat studio stamps- kiki kitty. I've used my polychromos to colour and remembered how great they are!
Loving these templates and there are 2 new ones to download after 15th. Can't wait for that.
Anyway must dash as DH is pestering me to go to bed. No book to read tonight as I've now finished number 2 in the twilight saga (New moon) and therefore I will be off to WHSmith in the morning to collect nos. 3and 4. Just love that I have discovered reading again although I can't put the damn things down resulting in lack of sleep lol!

Snow!!!

I Can't remember the last time we had snow like this! I'm not sure if Jamie has ever played in snow this deep. We were all in school today (A crime if ever there was one! I think schools should all close when it snows like this especially as we don't get it that often)
So when we came home we were straight outside for snowball fights and snowman building!
Even Ollie had a great time helping dad to build our snowman. We played out till it was nearly dark.

And here is our snowman!! He's just fab!

I have been tagged by Louby about the sixth photo thing, I've only got these on my pc at the mo so hope thats ok.
Fingers crossed for school being closed tomorrow!!
